Cat boxes for moving cats overseas by air and transporting cats by road. When you send your cat overseas you will need, amongst other things, a sturdy wooden cat box. Cats do not generally like to travel – by car or by aeroplane. If you are moving anywhere in South Africa and plan to travel by car, a wooden cat box is an excellent idea. You can focus on the road while your cat is safely contained in comfort.

If you are sending your cat to the UK – or anywhere in the world you will need a cat transport box. Cat boxes are usually one size – but if you have an extra large cat we can make a custom box to place your cat in. The cat box should be well ventilated and should have a water bowl and a solid latch. Wooden boxes are cheaper than plastic boxes and they are warmer. The wooden box, if going overseas needs to be treated or certain countries will not let the wooden box in due import regulations. Cat boxes, cat crates and cat transport containers can be custom made and delivered in South Africa. The pet travel company can organise this for you – just ask if they can supply a cat travel box.

Do you need to move your cat overseas? Or maybe you are returning to South Africa and need to fly you cat home? You will need to find a good Animal travel Agency – a company that has a proven track record.

Flying a cat overseas is not as simple as you may think. You will need a wooden cat box to transport the cat in. You will need to inoculate your cat and you might have to put your cat into quarantine depending on which country you are planning to fly your pet to. If your cat needs to be in quarantine you will need a good boarding kennel to take care of your cat – best to find a boarding kennel that is a member of the Pet Boarding Association. You will then know that your cat is in good hands. Each country has it’s own specific regulations in regard to the importing of pets. When you export your cat (what a dry term) you will need the cat to clear all customs on both sides. A good cat travel company will handle all the documentation, cat permits and paperwork for you. All you should have to do is have your cat ready for collection and say your sad goodbye while we organise your cat transport. (by the way moving any pet whether pekingese or goldfish, needs the same proccedure)
